ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The Sculpture program is built on two core directions: studio modelling from the live model and material and workshop technique, supported by intensive training in academic drawing, composition, and plastic anatomy. Students develop strong technical and visual foundations through sustained studio practice, which carries the greatest weight in the curriculum in every year of study.
In the studio, students progress from foundational modelling exercises to complex figurative work in the head, portrait, and full figure, training across easel, monumental, and decorative sculpture. In the workshop, the focus is on realising work in permanent material through mould-making and casting, welding, and bas-relief, with architectural projects introducing sculpture in relation to site and architecture. The program is completed with art history studies and exposure to contemporary practices including digital sculpting, photography, and artificial intelligence in art.
